Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek - 12 days

Our team representative will meet you at the airport upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, and you will then be taken to your hotel. As soon as you arrive at your hotel and freshen up, we will have a pre-briefing session regarding the journey. 

In this session, we will discuss the schedule for the upcoming days and give you a chance to meet with your guide as well as ask any queries that you have. Later in the evening, you can either relax at the hotel or go exploring the surrounding area.

The helicopter ride from Kathmandu to Lukla provides us with breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan range and the verdant valleys below. We will start trekking to Phakding after arriving in Lukla, which is referred to as the Everest entry point. This first-day trek is rather simple as it descends via scenic Sherpa villages, over the Dudh Koshi River on suspension bridges, and passes through lush woods.

As soon as we start the trek today, we will follow the Dudh Koshi River. The trek crosses many suspension bridges that are decorated with prayer flags. We will progressively gain altitude as we pass through several small villages, dense pine forests, and terraced farms. The challenging ascent to Namche Bazaar is the high point of this day. We will be greeted with their first views of Everest and other massive peaks as we approach Namche.

The trek must include an acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar to help you get used to the high altitude. Today, we can either hike to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest and nearby mountains, explore the busy marketplaces, or learn about the history and culture of the Sherpa people by visiting the museum. The day guarantees enough acclimatization, improving the trek's safety and enjoyment.

As we ascend from Namche Bazaar, we will get to see marvelous views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. There are possibilities to see animals like musk deer and vibrant pheasants as the trail passes through rhododendron forests and Sherpa settlements. The day's highlight is arriving at Tengboche, which is home to the well-known Tengboche Monastery. Here, we can take in the breathtaking vistas of the mountains and the quiet, spiritual ambiance of this renowned location.

As soon as we start the day, the path crosses the Imja Khola River and then descends through verdant rhododendron trees. The scenery changes as we ascend, offering breathtaking vistas of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse as well as a more parched, alpine area. The trail is a moderate ascent that takes us through the small villages of Deboche and Pangboche before arriving at Dingboche.

A vital component of the journey is to acclimatize in Dingboche, which enables you to get used to the high altitude while taking in the breathtaking scenery. We can go on quick excursions to neighboring peaks like the 5,100-meter (16,732-foot) Nagarjun Hill, which provides stunning views and facilitates acclimatization.

We will start the day with an ascent through the Imja Valley. Before arriving at Dughla, the trails offer breathtaking vistas of the Taboche and Cholatse peaks. There, we will see a moving memorial honoring climbers who lost their lives on Everest. After a few hours, we will eventually arrive in Lobuche for our overnight stay.

Today, we will travel up steep routes from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, the final village before EBC, where we will take in expansive views of famous peaks. After arriving at Gorak Shep, we take a little break before making the last trek to EBC, where you will surely admire the chance to be standing at the foot of the highest peak in the world. After spending some time at Everest Base Camp, we will trek back to Gorak Shep.

Today's day is a highlight of the Everest Base Camp adventure as we will hike from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar, which provides a stunning sunrise view of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks. After spending some time in Kata Patthar, we will take a helicopter ride back to Kathmandu. This will be a perfect mixture of ease and excitement, allowing us to take in the Himalayas' majesty from several angles in one single day.

The day could involve exploring Kathmandu's cultural sites, such as Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath, at leisure, offering insights into Nepal's history and spirituality, or it could be used as a buffer day to change the trek schedule in the event of unforeseen difficulties, putting trekkers' safety and well-being first. This would depend on the conditions in the Himalayas.
