Best Season for Hiking to Nagarkot

Full day Hike to Nagarkot

On this day, at about 4:30 AM, our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. You may drive 32 kilometers from Kathmandu to the Nagarkot observation point (2,174 m). 

After a 1.5-hour drive, you will reach Nagarkot, where you can take in the most breathtaking sunrise views of the Himalayan mountain range, which includes many other mountains, including Mount Everest, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang.

Once you've taken in the amazing view, you'll have breakfast at a nearby restaurant before starting the descent. You will pass through lovely, typical local villages, paddy fields, and an amazing view of the Kathmandu Valley on your way to Chagunarayan Temple. 

It would take three to four hours to climb from Nagarkot to the Chagunarayan Temple. After visiting Nepal's oldest Hindu temple, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will eat lunch and then travel back to Kathmandu after taking in a little bit of the surrounding landscape.
