Late Payments: Please note that we have the right to cancel reservations and refund deposits if the remaining balance is not paid by the deadline.
Cancellation and Refund Policies
Client Cancellation: You must give us written notice if you have to postpone your journey. There are the following cancellation fees:
- Loss of deposit if departure is more than 60 days away.
- 50% of the overall journey cost 30 to 59 days before departure.
- 100% of the entire trek cost if departure is made less than 30 days in advance.
Agency Cancellation: Himalayan Pinnacle has the right to postpone any trek in the event of uncontrollable events (such as natural catastrophes or unstable political situations). In these circumstances, you can choose to move your reservation to another journey or obtain a complete refund.
Travel Insurance
The security and welfare of our clients are our first concerns at Himalayan Pinnacle. We require all participants to have full travel insurance to guarantee that they will be sufficiently covered during their trekking expedition. This insurance needs to cover the following specifically:
- Trekking Activities: All trekking-related activities, including trekking at high altitudes, are included. Make sure your insurance covers every aspect of your trek.
- Medical Expenses: Payment for hospital stays, doctor visits, prescription drugs, and essential treatments, among other medical costs.
- Emergency Evacuation: Payment for emergency airlifts or other emergency transportation to the closest appropriate medical institution, with related costs.
- Trip Cancellation: Protection against costs associated with canceling a trip due to illness, injury, or other covered situations; includes non-refundable deposits and other pre-paid charges.
Proof of Insurance
Before the journey starts, you must provide documentation of your travel insurance for us to follow our safety procedures. The documentation must contain:
- Insurance Provider Details: The insurance provider's name and contact details.
- Policy Number: The number that is specific to you.
- Coverage Details: An overview of the coverage specifically states that trip cancellation, medical costs, evacuation, and trekking activities are all covered.
- Dates of Validity: Verification that the insurance coverage is still in effect for the whole length of your hike.
You can either email us the proof of insurance or bring it in person to our office before your trek starts.
Risks and Liabilities
Recognizing Risk: There are potential risks associated with trekking, such as the possibility of accidents, illnesses, and natural disasters. You agree to engage at your own risk and recognize these hazards by making a reservation with Himalayan Pinnacle.
Guide Authority: Decisions and directions made by the guide must always be followed for safety's sake.
